1. Acceptance of terms

Welcome to A-Star Cat (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Description of Service

We provide an educational platform that may include, but isn't limited to, online learning tools, content generation, communication features, and assessment modules. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature or part of the Service at any time.

3. No affiliation with MOE or A*STAR

The Service is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE) or the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Content is independently aligned to the public MOE syllabus on a best-effort basis.

4. User accounts and eligibility

To access certain features, you may need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You're solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

The Service is designed for parents, guardians, and educators helping a child with their studies. If you're under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for any account created and any content uploaded on the child's behalf. We don't knowingly collect account information directly from young children; accounts are created and controlled by an adult.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes. You shall not:

• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on intellectual property rights;
• Attempt to disrupt, compromise, or bypass the security of the Service; or
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service without permission.

6. Intellectual property

All content, features, and functionality on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of A-Star Cat or its licensors. Users retain ownership of any content they submit, but grant the Service a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display such content for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we disclaim all warranties and won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
